I was asked to help teach in, support, and develop the functional medicine program at Loma Linda University School of Medicine by program directors Ionela Hubbard, MD, LAc and Wayne Dysinger, MD, MPH. The program is designed for fourth-year medical students before they go into their residency programs and is part of the university’s preventive medicine program.
The functional medicine program is open to all accredited medical students in the United States upon acceptance from a formal application and registration. If you are an interested medical student please contact Dr. Hubbard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Below is a link to an interview from recent graduate John Shin, MD describing his experience after taking the functional medicine program. Shin was accepted into the internal medicine residency program at the Mayo Clinic upon graduation from Loma Linda University. This new generation of physicians such as Shin make the future of medicine look very promising.
