Why I created the Save Your Brain online video course

BrainBook_Cover_400I created this program because I kept receiving the same feedback from readers of my brain book (Why Isn’t My Brain Working?) and patients: “Your brain book is great but I have no idea where to start!”

In my Save Your Brain video course, I will show you the first steps to follow to save your brain from accelerated brain degeneration and improve brain function. These are the same first steps I use with my patients and teach to practitioners.

Brain function is the most overlooked yet important factor when it comes to managing chronic health issues.

It does not matter how mild or troubling your brain issue is, the human brain has basic needs that sadly aren’t being met for many people in the modern world. This affects the health of your entire body.

Save your brain through a series of sequential steps

I have learned through trial and error that when working to rescue brain health, everyone must start with the same steps and follow them in a sequential order.

Why? Because often you can resolve a brain health issue with one of the earlier steps and avoid wasting your time, energy, and money on paths you don’t need to pursue.

People spend countless dollars on supplements and therapies trying to fix a problem when they don’t really understand what is causing the problem in the first place.

For instance, your diet is one of the first things we address. That alone could drastically improve your brain function before we move on to more complex targets.

I will take you through those steps in this course. I will also show you how to evaluate your own brain health and function so you have objective tools to track your progress.

Week by week through the Save Your Brain course

In the Save Your Brain: The Six Week Rescue Plan, you will be guided through the following steps:

Week One: You’ll learn how your brain works, where your brain function is now in relation to your peak performance, and where your brain function is headed.

Week Two: You’ll use questionnaires and a self-administered neurological examination to assess brain function. These will serve as tools to evaluate the baseline of your brain function and to track your progress.

Week Three: You’ll evaluate which nutritional and metabolic factors are degenerating your brain, starting with blood sugar.

Week Four: You’ll evaluate whether stress, poor sleep quality, or poor circulation and oxygenation are accelerating the degeneration of your brain.

Week Five: You’ll explore the relationship between your gut health and brain health and learn how to improve communication between the two. I’ll also address leaky gut and gluten sensitivity and how to address these to rescue brain health.

Week Six: You’ll learn how brain inflammation speeds degeneration and compromises brain health and what to do about it. I save this for the end because if you address the other five factors first, brain inflammation often drops away. I’ll also talk about the best and worst fats for the brain.

Save Your Brain: The Six Week Rescue Plan

Here are some basic facts about the Save Your Brain course:

  • The inaugural course started Monday, September 21, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), however you may start it at any time.
  • The course signup period closed at midnight on September 20, 2015 (PST).
  • Once your payment is accepted, you will receive an email with a link, username, and password to access the course. Your username is the email address you used on the payment form. (Please save this info)
  • The course lasts six weeks and you will receive access to each week’s course material on Mondays.
  • Each week includes several different video “chapters.”
  • You will have ongoing access to the course after paying.
  • You can either stream the videos or download them. You can also download an audio-only version of each week’s videos to listen to on your phone.
  • Each chapter comes with accompanying workbook material that you can read on your device or download and print.
  • Transcripts of all the video/audio are included.
  • Each chapter will be accompanied by an online forum (discussion). Although my team cannot answer every question, we will be checking in and staying involved.
  • Much (but not all) of the material is also found in my books, however it is organized in a way to guide you through the application of it.
  • The cost is $297, payable online by credit card as a one-time fee.
